Our 2006 Palomino-Chardonnay
A one-of-a-kind opportunity that may not
happen again
The brutal 2006 harvest brought heat and drought that
was unusual even by Texas standards. Crop yields
were severely reduced across the board, and grapes
were no exception. The yields of our already
ridiculously low-yielding Palomino and Chardonnay
vineyards were reduced to barely more than ONE
barrel of wine.

However, the most unusual thing of all was that for the
first time, 100% of the Chardonnay that went into this
white wine came from the original Inwood Estates
Vineyard on Inwood Road in the heart of urban Dallas.

This wine was released December 1, 2007 and just
300+ bottles were available. It is available only from
the winery by direct purchase and will sell for $79.50,
no case discounts.

Although the 2006 compares very favorably to same
vintage French White Burgundy at release, the wine
will develop much more complexity with a year or so in
the bottle and should be the perfect holiday wine for
Thanksgiving/Christmas of 2008.

released and in very limited distribution

Yes! It is amazing! The picture above is of our award-winning and critically acclaimed 2005
Palomino-Chardonnay. That wine was named one of the Top 10 Wines of 2006 by Appellation America in San
Francisco. Reduced crops often yield very high quality wines and the 2006 has dense concentrations of
pineapple, melon, cantaloupe, coconut and the rich, creamy texture that only Palomino produces.

However, the signature component of this wine is its minerality from the high-calcium soils of North Texas.
This is the element that has sommeliers, chefs and retail buyers across Texas comparing it to famous French
white wines noteworthy for their great pairings with fine foods.
